Sweeney Looking to Build Depth at Receiver
We are just two weeks away from our yearly football coaches breakfast in which we will hear from all of our area high school football coaches and they will preview the upcoming season.
One coach we will be talking to is Barnsdall Panther head football coach Kylee Sweeney. The Panthers graduated some key seniors last year, one of the more notable ones being quarterback Maverick Lamphear. Lincoln Gott will be stepping up to fill those shoes, but it is who Gott will be throwing to that Sweeney is still trying to figure out.
That coaches breakfast will start at 7 a.m. on Saturday, August 16th and can be heard on KWON AM 1400 FM 93.3 95.1 and streaming on KWONTV.com. Most teams across the area will have a scrimmage that following Friday before taking to the field that following Friday for Week Zero action.
