Become a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor training will take place from Aug. 11 to Aug. 14. To earn a certification, participants must complete the following requirements:Attend and complete all four days of instructor training.Facilitate at least three MHFA trainings within the first year of certification.
This in-person event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day in the Tinkham Veale University Center. To earn a certification, participants must complete the following requirements:
Attend and complete all four days of instructor training;
Facilitate at least three MHFA trainings within the first year of certification; and
Conduct at least one training for the CWRU community each following academic year.
Prior to registering as a MHFA instructor, faculty and staff must receive supervisor approval and confirm whether training and future facilitation will count as work time or require the use of vacation or personal time off. Preference will be given to students who will be on campus for two or more years.
