Air India flight AI-114 flying from Birmingham en-route to Delhi on Sunday was diverted to Riyadh after a bomb scare, as per reports.
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner flight from Birmingham to Delhi was rerouted to Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport. As per the Flightradar24 flight tracking website, the Air India AI-114 aircraft took off from Birmingham at 20:26 and was flying to Delhi when the diversion occurred.

Air India spokesperson has informed that all security checks on the flight AI114 from Birmingham to Delhi have been completed after a bomb threat was received and the aircraft was consequently diverted to Riyadh where it has landed safely.

The spokesperson informed that all passengers were deplaned and were provided hotel accommodation.
“The inconvenience caused to our passengers due to this unforeseen disruption is sincerely regretted. Alternative arrangements are being made to fly the passengers to their destinations,” the Air India spokesperson said.
