Albies’ first hit of the night, and the 999th of his career, came in the sixth inning with a one-out single to left field. He was left stranded that inning. Then, in the eighth, he singled to left again to reach 1,000 hits. Teammate Eli White followed with a home run that scored Albies and extended the Braves’ lead to 7-1.

In 2024, Albies dealt with injuries and was limited to just 99 games, though he still managed to collect 100 hits. Since signing with Atlanta in July 2013, Albies has spent his entire career with the Braves.
Albies has built an impressive resume, including three All-Star selections, two Silver Slugger Awards, two All-MLB Second Team honors, and a World Series title from 2021.
Ozzie Albies now ranks 50th on the all-time hit list among active MLB players. He trails Tommy Pham by 15 hits for the 49th spot. Just ahead in the chase are Cody Bellinger, who sits at 999 hits, and Juan Soto with 991.

Despite the win, the Braves have struggled overall. Heading into Tuesday, they sat at 28-37, placing them fourth in the National League East and 13.5 games behind the division-leading New York Mets.
