The City of Bristol, Tennessee is planning on renovating the Tod Houston Field. The city is partnering with Boyd Sports to construct a new baseball stadium. The new stadium will serve as the home of the Bristol Stateliners of the Appalachian League.
The city is partnering with Boyd Sports to construct a new baseball stadium, with improvements made to the field and seating.
Funding for the new stadium –which will serve as the home of the Bristol Stateliners of the Appalachian League and Tennessee High, includes five million dollars from the city and two million from Boyd Sports.
It will serve so many different aspects of Bristol first and foremost. It takes care of our high school team and the players and the coaches and that’s just gonna be a great win for that team and they will have different other events that will take place throughout the year there, and if so, Tod Houston Field will become a great destination, said City of Bristol, TN Parks & Recreation Director, Mike Mains.
The next step for the City of Bristol, Tennessee is working with Boyd Sports on the operations agreement.
