What began as a transatlantic romance between Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz has reportedly turned into a full-blown family rift involving two powerful dynasties.

According to multiple sources close to both families, Brooklyn and Nicola are no longer speaking to his parents, Victoria and David Beckham, as tensions continue to rise behind the scenes.

At the center of the drama is a growing closeness between Brooklyn and his in-laws, billionaire Nelson Peltz, chairman of Wendy’s and a key player in reshaping Disney, and his wife, Claudia.

Meanwhile, the Beckhams are reaching the pinnacle of their own legacy, as David Beckham is expected to receive a knighthood next week as part of King Charles’ birthday honors, while Victoria is gearing up for the release of her own Netflix series focused on her fashion brand.

But beneath the glittering public success, insiders claim the Beckham family is experiencing a private fallout. Sources from the Peltz camp describe a growing disconnect dating back to the lead-up to Brooklyn and Nicola’s April 2022 wedding.

“It’s all about Brand Beckham,” a source told Page Six, claiming that the Beckhams even attempted to get Brooklyn to sign away rights to his own surname.

Tensions trace back to wedding plans and clashing expectations

Brooklyn and Nicola’s engagement was announced in July 2020 at the Peltz family’s $100 million Palm Beach estate, just eight months into their relationship.

Reports suggest that Victoria Beckham had wanted to control the announcement and outfit choices, allegedly requesting that Nicola wear a dress from her line and that the news be shared publicly from London.

This was firmly denied by a Beckham insider, who said the designer simply invited the couple to a celebratory lunch where Nicola wore a yellow silk dress from Victoria’s 2020 collection.

What really sparked long-standing rumors of a feud, however, was the wedding dress saga. Victoria reportedly offered to design Nicola’s gown but ultimately bowed out.

Nicola ended up wearing Valentino Haute Couture, with seamstresses flown in from Italy after multiple trips to Rome. In an interview with Variety, Nicola attempted to quell speculation, saying, “A few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress.”

Still, a source close to the Peltz family claimed Victoria informed Claudia Peltz – not Nicola – of her decision not to proceed with the design.

“People keep hitting on Nicola, saying she won’t wear Victoria’s dress, that she was just a spoiled rich girl,” said the insider. “The Peltzes bent over backwards to try to make things work.”

Brooklyn, described by close friends as “highly sensitive,” has reportedly drifted further from his parents since the wedding, becoming increasingly aligned with Nicola’s family.

“Nicola’s only ‘crime’ is marrying Brooklyn – she’s guilty of loving him, nothing else. Nicola told Victoria and David, ‘The only thing we wanted was your love and support’,” a Peltz-aligned source said.
