The fire destroyed the central section of the building, and while business on the side appear unscathed, employees say their insides were damaged due to water used to control the flames. The University Gardens location is one of the first SuperCuts in the valley. The four stylists at the University Gardens Supercuts have relocated to the Supercuts on Maryland Parkway and Sahara. The university, just across the street, provides clientele for businesses, and in return, they provide a place to gather for students and faculty. The store’s owner is left in tears.

In the aftermath of Saturday, staff at a boba tea cafe pack up the remaining furniture as the store’s owner is left in tears.
“From the outside, it looks like everything would be intact in here,” Donna Jordan, Vice President of Operations for Supercuts in Las Vegas, said. “So when I came upon it and found the lock taken out and all the water on the floor in the lobby, the ceiling tiles down, I was really surprised at that.”

The University Gardens location is one of the first SuperCuts in the valley. Long before she managed the valley’s Supercuts, Jordan got a haircut there as a teenager visiting Las Vegas.
“It’s heartfelt for us, this is one of our original Supercuts here in town,” Jordan said. “This one’s been here for about 40 years. We take care of the UNLV campus. We take care of a lot of the faculty and staff over at UNLV.

“This is home for them, and it’s home for us,” Jordan said. “So it’s going to be very difficult if we have to move or relocate, because we love our little neighborhood here.”
The four stylists at the University Gardens Supercuts have relocated to the Supercuts on Maryland Parkway and Sahara. Jordan recommends that customers who frequently go to the University Gardens go to that location in the meantime.
