It turns out action on transgender athletes in women’s sports in California could come a lot sooner than the Supreme Court decision will.

3rd District California Congressman Kevin Kiley posted on his “x” page on Thursday letters from the CIF and California Department of Education, with the following new information.

The CIF and CA Department of Education have notified me they’ll make a decision by **Monday about no longer letting men in women’s sports.

I’m urging them to spare our state a loss of funding by following UPenn, which just ended its policy and apologized to female athletes.

Both agencies affirmed in their letters that they will respond by Monday, July 7th, with their answers on how they will respond to the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights on how they intend to comply.
