Front Row Wears White to Bid Farewell to Maria Grazia Chiuri at Dior

After nine years at the helm of Dior as women’s artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri presented her final collection for the house in Rome on Tuesday. The final collection felt romantic and serene, yet rooted in tradition with Chiuri’s signature artisanal touch. There were nods to Ancient Rome, Grecian drapery, and lace so delicate it could’ve floated off the runway. As you scroll through the celebrity front row, one thing becomes immediately clear: there was a theme. Practically everyone was in it, and it wasn’t a coincidence as it felt symbolic of a clean slate for the brand and Chiuri. For more Dior news, visit CNN.com/Dior. The full Dior Resort 2026 collection is on sale now at Christian Dior stores and online, with prices starting at £150. For other Dior products, visit www.dior.com/. After nine years at the helm of Dior as women’s artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri presented her final collection for the house—Dior Resort 2026—in Rome on Tuesday.

This show, hosted at Rome’s stunning historical landmarks, was not just a celebration of resortwear—it was a goodbye letter stitched in silk and tulle. The final collection felt romantic and serene, yet rooted in tradition with Chiuri’s signature artisanal touch. Think classical silhouettes with poetic softness—there were nods to Ancient Rome, Grecian drapery, and lace so delicate it could’ve floated off the runway.

As you scroll through the celebrity front row, one thing becomes immediately clear: there was a theme. White. Practically everyone was in it. This wasn’t a coincidence as it felt symbolic of a clean slate for the brand and Chiuri.

A stylish farewell

Natalie Portman—arguably Dior’s most enduring muse—looked beautiful in a Dior Resort 2026 white silk jacket and tiered ruffled dress. And honestly? I’m glad she ditched the matching waistcoat. Cannes Film Festival may have housed some of her best Dior moments, but this felt more emotionally resonant. Simple, elegant, and fitting for a goodbye.

Quelle Surprise

Imagine my surprise seeing Alexandra Daddario show up in a white lace Dior dress. But you could say that under the Roman sun that this sheer moment worked.

A return to grace

Rosamund Pike hasn’t had the easiest time on the red carpet recently, so it was a relief to see her back on form in Dior white lace. The shirt-over-skirt combo, styled with a silver belt, that felt familiar, yet suited her.

From Coachella To the Front Row

Rachel Brosnahan’s white lace Dior dress was giving modern boho. Some might find it too sheer, but skipping black accessories was a win.

Goddess energy: activated

Eiza González looked like she had floated straight off Mount Olympus in a white pleated tulle Dior dress that gave us Eirene, the Greek goddess of peace. All she was missing was a gold crown and a sceptre.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images for Christian Dior

Minimalism wins again

Camille Cottin reminded us why she’s a Dior favourite. Just a simple silk white dress from the Resort 2026 collection, and yet she still managed to look like she owned the whole piazza.

Maternity, but make it Monte Carlo chic

Beatrice Borromeo, glowing as she expects her third child, made the case for Dior Maternity in an asymmetrical white silk dress.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images for Christian Dior

Like mother, like daughter

Deva Cassel exuded angelic elegance in a white pleated off-the-shoulder Dior dress, paired with gold accessories. She’s clearly inherited her mother Monica Bellucci’s red carpet poise—and then some.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images for Christian Dior

Breaking the theme, but in the coolest way

Valeria Golino didn’t follow the white dress memo, opting instead for a printed Dior silk shirt and trousers. With black accessories and her signature nonchalance, she made a very good case for doing your own thing.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images for Christian Dior

Prairie chic, with Parisian polish

Sarah Catherine Hook served up Little House on the Prairie realness in her Dior white and brown lace dress. It was sweet and nostalgic, but I wish she’d opted for a different colour shoe.

Beach Cover Up?

Ashley Park clearly missed the all-white memo, but much like Valeria Golino, she plays by her own fashion rules. Dressed in a nude embroidered Dior tulle dress, there’s a definite beach cover-up energy here—but somehow, it works. It’s carefree, and it’s very her.

This front row might’ve looked like a bridal party, but it was really a send-off. Chiuri’s legacy at Dior has been one of subtle revolution—feminine, forward-thinking, and undeniably hers.

Alexandra Daddario Goes Sheer in White Lace Dress for Dior Cruise 2026 Show in Rome

Alexandra Daddario attended the Dior cruise 2026 show in Rome on Tuesday. The Emmy-nominated actress opted for a white lace dress with Dior accessories. The show saw creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri return to Rome for the first time in a decade. The Dior 2026 collection featured designs “fit for a Renaissance princess,” Joelle Diderich wrote in WWD’s review of the collection. It featured diaphanous gowns, in a palette dominated by cream and white, and sinous crimson and black velvet column dresses.

Alexandra Daddario was among the bevy of celebrity guests and brand ambassadors seated in the front row for the Dior cruise 2026 show in Rome on Tuesday. The Emmy-nominated “White Lotus” actress attended the event alongside Natalie Portman, Rosamund Pike and more.

Daddario opted for a white lace dress with Dior accessories. The dress featured bohemian style inspiration with long sleeves, a ruffled neckline and a maxiskirt. The look included an ornate white lace design with delicate latticework, creating sinuous lines and more.

Daddario also embraced the peekaboo bra layering trend, which saw a resurgence in 2024 thanks to stars like Katie Holmes, Kristen Stewart and Sydney Sweeney, among others. The trend continues to pop on red carpets throughout 2025.

As for her glam, Daddario opted for her dark chocolate brown hair styled with a side part and flowing tresses. The actress’ makeup included bold brows and a pop of color thanks to a classic red lip, which added contrast to her overall look. Like Daddario, guests wore various designs in white, creating a uniform effect.

“I get overwhelmed with choices,” Daddario said at the show. “I’m an actress, I’ve learned fashion but that was not my expertise so for me, it’s wonderful to have someone as talented as Maria Grazia and Dior choose something for me.”

The Dior cruise 2026 show saw creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri return to Rome to stage a fashion show for the first time in a decade. “For me, doing a project in Rome was obviously one of my desires, but also one of my fears, because ‘Mirabilia’ was such a high point,” she said in a preview on Tuesday, referencing the Valentino show she staged as cocreative director.

The cruise 2026 collection featured designs “fit for a Renaissance princess,” Joelle Diderich wrote in WWD’s review of the collection. “Diaphanous gowns, in a palette dominated by cream and white, alternated with sinous crimson and black velvet column dresses and androgynous outerwear,” Diderich wrote.

Celebrities at the Louis Vuitton Fall 2025 Show

Luxury label’s spring/summer 2025 collection is a mix of old and new. Stars such as Victoria’s Secret Angel Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss are among the stars to show off new looks. Louis Vuitton’s Fall-Winter 2025 show, held at L’Etoile du Nord in Paris, brought out the brand’s ambassadors and a host of A-listers ready to embrace Nicolas Ghesquière’s signature fusion of retro-futurism and unexpected silhouettes. But while the runway may have been delivering innovation, the front row was delivering… well, let’s just say it was a rollercoaster of fashion highs and head-scratching moments.

As always, I’m going to start with my ultimate Louis Vuitton muse.

When you can sell any look but are let down by the shoes

Jennifer Connelly would have stood out no matter what, but this Louis Vuitton red dress took things to another level. The dramatic ‘80s-inspired structured shoulders, combined with the layered, tied ‘00s-style skirt, were a winning contrast. But there’s one thing even she couldn’t save: those multi-coloured sandals.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2025

Dark romance, but make it minimal

Emma Stone kept things simple in a black Louis Vuitton dress with lace inserts. With her short pixie cut adding an effortless touch, the look exuded a dark, moody elegance without trying too hard. It was sophisticated, understated, and just the kind of look that suits her pared-back aesthetic.

When a hat and gloves elevate an entire outfit

We’ve seen Noémie Merlant in a different colour of Deepika Padukone’s Louis Vuitton Resort 2025 dress, but this outing—with the tilted runway hat, leather gloves, and thick tights—really sold the look, proving that styling and accessories can make all the different … along with attitude.

Louis Vuitton Resort 2025

Déjà vu or signature style?

Is it just me, or does Léa Seydoux always wear a variation of the same Louis Vuitton look? She knows what works for her, but at this point, I would love to see her shake things up a little.

A bold colour choice with a mismatched bag

Like Jennifer, Alicia Vikander went for something other than black, opting for a red, white, and blue plaid tweed mini Louis Vuitton dress. It was a refreshing change, but unfortunately, the bag and shoes threw off the overall balance. Especially that bag—it just wasn’t working.

A little black dress with an edge

Saoirse Ronan kept things simple in a flared Louis Vuitton LBD, but the statement earrings and bolder-than-usual eye makeup brought a fresh, slightly dramatic twist. It was simple but effective.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2025

Too much going on, too little impact

Ana de Armas could have really made a statement if she had just tied the coat and let it be the focal point. Instead, there was too much happening at once, diluting the impact. To be fair, I can’t say I’m surprised—Ana and Louis Vuitton have been struggling to find their fashion rhythm outside of her Blonde press tour.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2025

A winning plaid moment

Phoebe Dynevor proved that the plaid trend was a winner this front row in a fun, flirty flared dress. The boots kept it seasonal and prevented the look from veering into schoolgirl territory.

Three sisters, three looks, three fashion question marks

What can we say about Alana, Danielle, and Este Haim’s Louis Vuitton outfits? Other than the fact that I wish Jennifer had selected the black version of those sandals, and at least the sisters appear to be having fun with their looks. Because, let’s be real—these were a bit of a head-scratcher. They’re well overdue a collective Louis Vuitton win.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2025

No from Head-to-toe

Hannah Einbinder had some incredible Louis Vuitton looks during awards season, but look will not be joining them. The proportions were off, the styling felt uninspired, and, once again, I have to ask: why can’t Louis Vuitton give their guests better shoes?

Louis Vuitton Spring 2025

A laidback yet unexpectedly convincing look

We’re used to seeing Noémie Merlant in Louis Vuitton gowns, so it was refreshing to see her switch things up with a leather top and wavy balloon pants combo. The complementary colourway of her shoes almost had me reconsidering my usual reservations about Louis Vuitton footwear… almost.

An ‘80s moment worth celebrating

The ‘80s kid in me was immediately drawn to Adria Arjona’s shimmering, bold-shouldered, stomach-baring Louis Vuitton top, perfectly paired with high-waisted trousers.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2025

While some attendees nailed their looks, others left us questioning some styling choices—particularly when it came to accessories and shoes. But hey, it wouldn’t be a Louis Vuitton show without some questionable looks, right?

Celebrities Front Row at Louis Vuitton Fall 2025: Lisa, Sophie Turner, Alicia Vikander Board the LV Express

Alicia Vikander, Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany were at the Louis Vuitton show. The actress said she fell in love with trains when she was living in Spain. Vikander said she always had an interest in science fiction and met scientists who were on the forefront of AI at that time. Connelly was drawn to the 1980s feel of the collection and decided to take a bold risk with the color.. Sophie Turner could also describe her look, though she was more urban warrior with spike buttons on a leather dress with a leather hem on a black coat and a leather skirt with a matching blouse and a silk blouse. The show was held at the Gare du Nord in Paris, a departure from the usual venue at the Louvre Museum, which is in the city’s central district. The collection was designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, a longtime friend of the house and personal pal of the artistic director of the brand. It was complete with a cherry red dress from the spring collection.

TICKET TO RIDE: It was all aboard the Louis Vuitton express, with Monday night’s show a departure from its usual venue at the Louvre Museum.

Guests were invited to a private cocktail then transported to an office building next to Gare du Nord, where the brand had built an impressive set reminiscent of a bustling arrivals lounge for womenswear artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière‘s fall collection.

The location enhanced the romance of the collection, at least for the train lovers in the crowd. And there were plenty, with Alicia Vikander among them.

She was seated next to Lisa, who caused a commotion with the photographers upon her arrival, flanked by France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron, who is a close friend of Ghesquière.

“I love trains. Oh my god, all the Belmond trains going around Europe, I know all the destinations,” she said of memorizing the map. Some of the routes are long and a serious commitment, she said, noting that husband Michael Fassbender isn’t as much of a devotee. So she’s considering an alternate plan.

“Maybe I should just go by myself. There’s something about the idea, I’ll just bring my own book and go from A to B. I love the journey,” she said.

The Oscar winner said old-fashioned travel is a way to put her phone down and check out, and has a nostalgic feel since she grew up traveling by train. She also mused about the presence of tech and AI in our lives, a decade on from her film “Ex Machina.”

Vikander said she always had an interest in science fiction and when she did research for the film, she met scientists who were on the forefront of AI at that time. “It led me to realize that this is actually not that far forward, and the general public didn’t have that kind of awareness of it just yet.”

And now? She chats with ChatGPT, particularly recently when she was on a film set and set it to voice mode in her hotel room. “I felt like I had a one-on-one lecture [for character prep]. If you have that view, you can go there. But I do not yet use it on a daily basis. I haven’t really gotten used to it,” she said.

Ana de Armas was in a slinky sequined slipdress topped with a loose silk kimono. The look was carefree and would actually be perfectly comfortable for a train ride, she said.

“I personally love trains. I would go in the train anywhere if I could, really, I’d much rather take a train than flying,” she said. The actress said she fell in love with trains when she was living in Spain.

“I find trains very mysterious, and there’s kind of something cinematic about it. There’s something romantic and something that I really enjoy. I love to watch the scenery pass by, looking out the window at different cities and places. It’s just beautiful,” she said.

De Armas is prepping for the premiere of “Ballerina,” which will come out this summer. In the film she doesn’t actually play a dancer but an assassin, and the training encompassed stunts and martial arts.

“Compared to other action films I’ve done before, that was definitely the most intense one, and the most challenging,” she said. “It’s another level. But I got to the point of feeling very comfortable with it, and I think it came out very organic. The hard work paid off.”

Trains were not something of note for Jennifer Connelly, who grew up in the U.S. “The only trains I remember is the subway in New York,” said the Brooklyn native. Still, she has grown an affection for them, and said that husband Paul Bettany had taken the Eurostar from London earlier Monday.

Connelly, a longtime friend of the house and personal pal of Ghesquière, was in a cherry red dress from the spring collection. It was complete with big shoulders and a bias-cut hem. She was drawn to the 1980s feel of it and decided to take a risk with the bold color.

Bold could also describe Sophie Turner’s look, though her’s was more urban warrior with spike buttons on a leather dress.

“His stuff always makes me feel so powerful,” she said. But the last time she hit the Louis Vuitton show, she was in a much softer silk pajama look.

“Well, there’s so much in his collections, they’re never one tone. So I always try to wear a different interesting thing from each collection. But there’s never enough events to go to to wear all the things that I want to wear, so try to mix it up.”

Surely there are lots of parties and premieres for the “Game of Thrones” star? But Turner said she’s actually been taking it easy ahead of filming a new project. Word on the street (or IMDB at least) is that she’s prepping for the “Tomb Raider” reboot, but she dodged that question with a series of quips.

“You can put that together,” she concluded. In the meantime, maybe she’ll wear the looks to the grocery store or around the house. “If they let me keep them,” she joked.

Chloë Grace Moretz pulled a look from her archive circa 2018. It was a more moto style with studded sleeves, and a testament to Ghesquière’s “shapeshifter” design nature from romantic to futuristic.

“Seeing each collection, when you kind of look at it in terms of every two to three years, he kind of goes through these phases. And I really love this time period, because really, it’s almost medieval. These shoulders are almost Joan of Arc,” she said of the split cap sleeve design.

The actress is still passionate about motorcycles and is looking forward to a new bike that is about to be delivered in April. It’s just for fun though — racing is off the table.

“My partner would kill me. That would not go down well,” she said. But the passion she discovered just three years ago has led her into a new phase of research on women bikers.

“I would totally love to do something about the history of women in motorcycles. It’s just not as much of a female sport and there are some really prolific female motorcycle riders that are not as known or obvious as the men have been.”

Producing a film about these women could be in the cards. “That’s the hope,” she said.

While the brand strived to keep the location secret, plenty of Stays — the fandom name for Stray Kids — turned out to scream for Felix, the K-pop star and Louis Vuitton ambassador who also walked in the show. Felix gamely came out after the show to greet the crowds. He ran up and down to take photos and high five with fans who lined the road to the station.

Still, the journey was over by 9 p.m. when guests were carried home by private cars.
