On Thursday, news broke of Hulk Hogan’s shocking death at age 71.

After hearing the sad news, many big names took to social media to mourn the loss of the WWE legend.

John Cena, who is retiring from the WWE soon, posted a pic of Hulk in the ring with no caption necessary on Instagram.

Sylvester Stallone posted a throwback photo of them on the set of “Rocky III,” writing on Instagram, “I have the pleasure of meeting this brilliant personality and showman when he was 26 years old. He was absolutely wonderful and his amazing skill made Rocky three incredibly special. My heart breaks. I think that he’s gone…”

Retired WWE legend Ric Flair wrote on X, “I Am Absolutely Shocked To Hear About The Passing Of My Close Friend @HulkHogan! Hulk Has Been By My Side Since We Started In The Wrestling Business. An Incredible Athlete, Talent, Friend, And Father! Our Friendship Has Meant The World To Me. He Was Always There For Me Even When I Didn’t Ask For Him To Be. He Was One Of The First To Visit Me When I Was In The Hospital With A 2% Chance Of Living, And He Prayed By My Bedside. Hulk Also Lent Me Money When Reid Was Sick. Hulkster, No One Will Ever Compare To You! Rest in Peace My Friend!”

WWE star Kane posted a vintage clip of him with Hulk and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, writing on X, “Hulk Hogan was a true legend. I was fortunate to work with him a couple of times, including this memorable one. It was easy to do a Hulkster impersonation when, like millions of guys my age, I’d practiced it in the mirror a thousand times growing up. #RIPHULKHOGAN.”

Brooke Shields shared a pic of herself arm wrestling with Hulk, writing on Instagram, “Rest easy, Hulk. This moment and his entire guest episode on ‘Suddenly Susan’ was a true highlight. Sending love to all of his loved ones today 🖤.”

Donald Trump Jr. posted a pic with Hogan in full Trump campaign gear, writing, “R.I.P to a legend. HULK HOGAN.”

It has been reported that Hogan suffered a heart attack.

The Clearwater Public Communications Department confirmed to “Extra,” “Clearwater Fire Department and Clearwater Police Department personnel responded to a medical call at 9:51 a.m. today in the [address redacted]. The nature of the call was for a cardiac arrest. A 71-year-old resident, Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, was treated by Clearwater Fire & Rescue crews before being taken by Sunstar to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.”

A press conference was held with police official Nate Burnside saying that an investigation was underway. While there’s no signs of foul play surrounding Hogan’s death, Burnside noted that it is standard protocol.

Hogan had been rumored to be in ill health for some time. Weeks ago, his young wife, Sky, told reporters that he was not, contrary to rumor, in a coma, but that his heart was strong following procedures related to a neck issue that were performed in May.

She wrote, “He’s been recovering from a major four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusin (ACDF), which is an intense surgery with a long and layered healing process. If you look it up, you’ll see what the last six weeks have involved… not just for his spine, but also for his vocal cords, and the eating/breathing tubes that are clamped over during surgery.”
