The Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities of Southwest Washington recently announced Executive Director Mike Reardon received the Pat Jollota Leadership Award from Clark County Senior Heroes Awards. The award honors Reardon for a lifetime of service and advocacy for seniors.

Reardon joined the agency in 1998, serving in a variety of roles before becoming the executive director in December 2020.

“Over the 16 years that I’ve had the privilege to work alongside Mike, I’ve witnessed the heart and integrity he brings to every aspect of his work,” said Christina Marneris, community services manager at Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities. “His leadership is grounded in a set of unwavering core values that continue to shape our Agency’s mission. His enduring commitment reflects a deep passion for supporting older adults, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers across the region.”

Reardon plays a pivotal role in advancing community-based aging and disability Services throughout the region by fostering strong, strategic partnerships with local organizations. Under his leadership, the agency collaborates with 48 community partners to implement 83 active contracts in the five-county area. These partnerships are vital to expanding access to essential services, strengthening the local safety net, and delivering person-centered support to older adults, individuals with disabilities, and family caregivers.
