The much-anticipated grand opening of the new Bass Pro Shops at 400 Clifton Park Center Road is set for Wednesday, July 30, at 6 PM. The event, which includes a Conservation Night, is expected to cause heavy traffic throughout the day and evening. To manage traffic flow and ensure public safety, the Town ofclifton park has recommended several travel routes.

For those traveling southbound on I-87, exit at 9 and either turn left onto Clifton Country Road from NYS Route 146, then left at the traffic signal onto Clifton Park Center Road, or proceed westbound on NYS Route 146 to Moe Road, turn left to travel southbound, and then left onto Clifton Park Center Road at the first traffic signal.
Northbound travelers on I-87 should exit at 8A, turn left onto Grooms Road, then right onto Moe Road, and right onto Clifton Park Center Road, continuing northbound through the intersection with Sitterly Road to reach the Bass Pro Shop property.
From NYS Route 9, use Sitterly Road to travel westbound and turn right at the traffic signal onto Clifton Park Center Road. Eastbound travelers on NYS Route 146 should turn right onto Moe Road to travel southbound and then left onto Clifton Park Center Road at the first traffic signal.
Event traffic is expected to peak between 4 PM and 9 PM. Attendees are advised to allow for extra travel time and to be mindful of pedestrians, cyclists, other vehicle traffic, and emergency vehicles. Parking attendants and signage will be in place to assist with traffic flow and parking.
