On his debut, Flagg said, “Not up to my standard, but I’m going to improve, I’m going to be alright.” The Mavs went on to win the game, 87-85. Rookies Ryan Nembhard and Miles Kelly also showed flashes of their potential, with 21 and 17 points, respectively.
Dallas will face a Spurs team coming off a dominant 111-70 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. However, the Spurs managed to rally in their Summer League opener behind David Jones-Garcia’s 24-point performance.
