Grand Rapids Could Have a Surprise Celebrity Coworker
Ed Sheeran’s wife, Cherry Seaborn, worked a 9-to-5 at Deloitte. She worked in climate and sustainability up until March 2024. The office is located right here in Grand Rapids. She didn’t need to flex who she was married to. She just did her job, stayed low-key, and apparently didn’t even drop a single “Shape of You” reference in a meeting. You never know which one of your coworkers is quietly making sustainability reports… and going home to Ed Sheerans.

Turns out, his wife isn’t living some ultra-celebrity lifestyle. She had an actual LinkedIn profile (which recently went viral) and was quietly working in climate and sustainability at Deloitte up until March 2024. And honestly, good for her.
But here’s where it gets really interesting: Deloitte has an office located right here in Grand Rapids.
So now I’m spiraling just a little bit, because what if someone I know here was casually on a Teams call with her? What if they shared a spreadsheet, traded emails, or asked her to circle back on something… all while having no idea she’s married to one of the most famous musicians on the planet?!
And her LOVES his wife, too. So you know she’s gotta be just a gem to be around:
She reportedly worked for Deloitte for years, which means there’s a very real chance she collaborated with teams all over (including ours here in West Michigan.)
It’s wild to think someone in our city could’ve just been going about their day, chatting with Cherry about climate goals or Q3 goals, not realizing she was heading home after to one of the biggest global superstars.
