Tim McGraw recently canceled his July 21 concert at Colorado State University following his fourth back surgery in the past year. Country music star Tim McGraw was recently spotted walking with a cane in Copenhagen, just days after canceling an upcoming show due to ongoing health issues.
McGraw, 58, shared a photo on Instagram Tuesday showing himself holding a cane as he sat beside his wife, Faith Hill. The couple had been there supporting their daughter, Audrey McGraw, during her time on tour with Brandi Carlile.
“Hanging with my baby in Copenhagen to see Audrey McGraw on tour with the fabulous Brandi Carlisle,” he captioned the post.
The appearance comes after McGraw announced he would no longer be performing at the July 21 concert at Colorado State University, citing recovery from a recent back surgery.
According to Us Weekly, this marks at least his fourth back procedure in the past year. McGraw recently opened up about his extensive health struggles during an episode of “Tracy Lawrence’s Road House” podcast.
“To have almost a year of just sitting there (doing nothing), and I can tell you that after double knee replacements and three back surgeries and now a torn rotator cuff and a ruptured disc, there were times this year that I thought this might be it,” he said. “This might be time to hang it up.”
The singer had returned to performing on May 31 after nearly a year away from the stage, but his comeback was short-lived. On the podcast, he admitted his mounting health challenges had made him rethink how he approaches live shows.
“It’s gonna come to a point to where I’m either gonna have to decide to change the way I do a live show to continue to do it or just not do it anymore,” he explained.
On June 22, McGraw reminded fans where his priorities lie. The proud father posted photos on Instagram of Audrey performing at London’s Royal Albert Hall:
“Our little @audreymcgraw on stage at Royal Albert Hall for opening night of @brandicarlile tour!! Pure magic watching our baby girl up there!”
