Luke Bryan made headlines back in June when he refunded fans for one show because he was not happy with his sound, and then promptly cancelled appearances for two weekends in a row.

He has since returned to the stage, including a stop in Hershey, but it turns out he still isn’t completely over his health issues. And during a concert in Greenville, South Carolina on July 17 the 49-year-old country music star revealed to his fans that he had been battling COVID-19.

And, per Parade, Bryan actually drew boos with that announcement.

“You can boo that (expletive) all you want, but I got it,” Bryan told the crowd. “I had to cancel some shows, but now I’m back.”

Parade said that Bryan than picked the mood back up with a performance of “Country Girl.”

“I’m not 100 percent,” he said. “It’s still kicking my ass, but I don’t give a (expletive). So, when I can sing, I’m gonna sing. And when I can’t, y’all are gonna sing, alright?”

Per Parade, one fan even noted that Bryan was not 100% for his stop in Hershey and “blamed it on PA bugs and allergies.”

“He did tell us in VIP he had COVID but felt 100%,” the commenter said. “He still put on a great show.”

Bryan’s issues began during a show in Arkansas in June.

“This is the weirdest thing I’ve ever dealt with in my life,” the singer told the fans. “I cannot have my voice in this venue for some reason. It happens every time, I don’t know why.”

Bryan then brought up that Luke Combs once refunded his fans for a show when he was not happy with his voice.

“I don’t give a damn,” the singer said. “I’m gonna refund everybody their tickets tonight and we’re going to keep doing the damn show, OK?”
