With Patrick Wilson ascending to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Little League International on January 1, 2025, the organization is also proud to announce the promotion of two key figures: Dan Velte and Jeff Bennett as Vice Presidents.
Dan Velte: Driving Operations Forward
Dan Velte, promoted to Vice President of Operations and International Tournament Director, steps into his new role with extensive experience. Having served as Senior Operations Executive since February 2021, Dan has been a cornerstone of the Little League’s operations across nine regional offices worldwide.
Dan’s responsibilities will extend to strategic league development and enhancing the international development of the organization. His dedication to the Little League’s growth at the grassroots level is evident, making him an invaluable asset to the team.
In the words of Patrick Wilson, “Since his time as an Assistant Region Director nearly 25 years ago, Dan has gone above and beyond to help enhance the Little League experience. We look forward to his continued success as Tournament Director in 2025 and beyond.”
Jeff Bennett: Financial Stewardship for Little League
Jeff Bennett joins the team as Vice President of Finance, effective February 10, bringing a wealth of financial expertise from his previous roles. Before his current position, Jeff served as the Vice President for Finance and Administration at Lycoming College, along with extensive experience as a Senior Manager at Baker Tilly.
Jeff, who hails from the greater Williamsport area, has deep roots in the community he now serves. His passion for Little League is highlighted by his volunteer efforts as a team manager in Loyalsock Township and over two decades of coaching experience.
In his new role, Jeff will ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization. His duties will include managing annual operating and capital budgets and collaborating with the Board of Directors to set financial strategies.
Wilson remarked, “Jeff is a natural fit for this leadership role within our organization. We are excited to welcome Jeff and to leverage his financial knowledge as we begin this next chapter in the Little League program.”
