Deion Sanders gets feisty over health scare questions at Big 12 media days

“I’m already back,” Sanders told ESPN. “I’m here today. I’m handling my responsibilities. So I look forward to it. I can’t wait. You’ve got to understand, some of the young [players] I haven’t even met yet. I’m so excited about that.”

“[The] Athletic, sometimes y’all be on that bulljunk,” Sanders said. “So, I’m really not going to tell you much. You know that. But I’m not here to talk to you about my health; I’m here to talk about my team.”

Ubben later asked Sanders how the offseason on his ranch was.
“Every day, I’m living good,” Sanders responded. “I’m living lovely. God has truly blessed me. Not a care in the world. Not a want or desire in the world.”
The usually visible Sanders has been MIA this spring and summer while dealing with an unspecified health issue.

On June 11, Sanders provided a positive update when he posted to X: “I can assure you all that everything is OKAY and will continue to be so.
“I’m excited to get back to Colorado to be at home with my staff, team & all associated to our program. When we arrive back to Boulder you will be updated on everything.”

Over the Fourth of July weekend, Sanders posted a video to his Instagram account of Lil Wayne visiting his compound in Texas.
