On Saturday night, hordes of influential figures across the fashion, art and film industries gathered at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for the LACMA Art + Film Gala 2025. Raising funds for the museum’s exhibitions, acquisitions, and educational programming, the annual event, presented by Gucci, has become something of a fashion spectacle.

This year’s starry guest list included the likes of Demi Moore, Kerry Washington, Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber. “The Substance” actress, for instance, was clad in a see-through floral embroidered number courtesy of Gucci. Meanwhile, the famous supermodels showed off their mother-daughter style in form-fitting gowns from the Italian fashion house. WWD spotlights those outfits and more below.

Dressed by her longtime stylist, Brad Goreski, Moore wore a high-neck, sheer gown consisting of a nude mesh base intricately festooned with multicolored floral embroidery and beadwork. Grazing the floor, the Oscar-nominated actress’ long dress completely covered up her footwear.

Washington made a bold statement at the event, arriving in a colorful gown from Thom Browne’s fall 2025 collection. The top half of the dress boasted diagonally paneled satin fabric, with a pastel pink bodice and emerald green shoulder. Meanwhile, a long plaid pleated skirt offset the vibrant shades. Stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn were responsible for the “Scandal” alum’s gala look.

Decked out in baby blue, Elle Fanning played with texture, pairing a lace gown with a fluffy coat, both of which were designed by Gucci. Her dress included sheer long sleeves and a flared hem, while the topper was defined by a long train. The actress added a hint of shimmer to the outfit by way of a diamond necklace.

Cynthia Erivo was a vision in an avant-garde Schiaparelli fall 2025 Couture gown. The “Wicked” star’s strapless, body-hugging gown was covered in unique beading in various eye-like shapes. Rendered in tulle fabric, a light grey sheer cape dialed up the drama.

Gerber and Crawford had a sweet mother-daughter moment at the event, posing together in their Gucci gowns. The 24-year-old brought the heat in a sequin dress with a deep scoop neckline. Crawford, on the other hand, shimmered in a number with gold and copper embroidery, which looked to be an off-the-shoulder version of a long-sleeve gown in Gucci’s spring 2026 collection.
