ClearSky Health announces plans to build rehabilitation hospital in Eau Claire

ClearSky Health is announcing plans to build a new rehabilitation hospital in Eau Claire. The new 36-bed hospital is anticipated to provide about 100 new jobs for the area. The hospital is expected to open in mid-2026, located at 4905 Bullis Farm Road.

Gov. Evers hosts hospital shutdown discussion in Eau Claire

The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development or DWD, spoke on wanting to help those who lost their jobs during these closures. The over 1,300 jobs lost was a central focus of the meeting and rapid response is one tool that DWD is currently working on using. Evers believes the hospitals and clinics could have closed because of Wisconsin not having Medicaid expansion. DWD will host community job fairs in Eau Claire on Feb. 7, 2024, and Feb. 20, 2024.
