See Which Celebs Are Teeing Off in Maine This Year for the Annual Benefit
Celebrities from the entertainment, music, and sports worlds will be hitting the links in Maine for what should be one heck of a benefit tournament that kicks off soon. Patrick Dempsey, Roger Clemens, Doug Flutie, Marshall Faulk, and Ronde Barber were just a few of the big names who teed off in pursuit of golf supremacy and to help promote two amazing causes. The tournament also won’t be the only ticket in town, because country star Gary Levox from Rascal Flatts will be performing on Saturday, June 21, right there at the golf course. It’s going to be exciting to see so many stars up close and on the course.
After two successful years of hosting the PGA Korn Ferry Tour, Shamrock Sports & Entertainment seamlessly shifted to a celebrity golf tournament in 2023. The first two events were incredible successes, with thousands of dollars raised for wonderful organizations.
The Drive Fore Kids Golf Tournament Has Been a Huge Success
The celebrity field for the first two tournaments was highly impressive. Patrick Dempsey, Roger Clemens, Doug Flutie, Marshall Faulk, and Ronde Barber were just a few of the big names who teed off in pursuit of golf supremacy and to help promote two amazing causes, the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and the Dempsey Center.
Are we ready for Round 3? Well, Shamrock and plenty of celebrities are, because this year’s tournament is coming up soon.

When Does the 2025 Drive Fore Kids Tournament Take Place?
The 3rd Annual Drive Fore Kids is scheduled for June 19-22, 2025. It’s back at the Falmouth Country Club, and the official field is another great one.
The tournament also won’t be the only ticket in town, because country star Gary Levox from Rascal Flatts will be performing on Saturday, June 21, right there at the golf course.

Drive Fore Kids celebrity fundraising tournament kicks off in Falmouth
The annual Drive Fore Kids celebrity tournament is underway at the Falmouth Country Club. The tournament raises money the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and The Dempsey Center. Gary LeVox and The Rascal Flatts hit the stage at 6 p.m. Saturday.

FALMOUTH, Maine — The annual Drive Fore Kids celebrity tournament is underway at the Falmouth Country Club.
Dozens of celebrities in the sports, TV, and movie worlds are in Maine to help raise money for the Barbra Bush Children’s Hospital and the Dempsey Center.
The tournament runs Friday, June 20, through Sunday, June 22.
On Saturday and Sunday, celebrities start teeing off at 10:15 a.m.
Gates open to the public at 9 a.m.
There is also a concert planned. Gary LeVox and The Rascal Flatts hit the stage at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
This Is the Top Golf Course in Maine, According to Golf Digest
Golf Digest released their 2025-’26 Best Golf Courses in Maine rankings in May. Boothbay Harbor Country Club was purchased by Paul Coulombe, who funded a $50 million makeover in 2015 and 2016. The course is aesthetically strong as well, with water features, flower beds and the Maine woods framing many holes. When it comes to the top course in Maine, Golf Digest released their 2025-’26 Best Golf Courses in Maine rankings in May.

Boothbay Harbor Country Club in Boothbay, Maine
In 2013, the Boothbay Harbor Country Club was purchased by Paul Coulombe, who funded a $50 million makeover in 2015 and 2016.
As part of the renovations, Bruce Hepner redesigned the course, which, according to Golf Digest, is one of the best-conditioned courses in Maine.
“The course is aesthetically strong as well, with water features, flower beds and the Maine woods framing many holes. The course has plenty of elevation changes and is best enjoyed in a cart,” Golf Digest says.

After a successful first year, Shamrock Sports & Entertainment once again hosted Drive Fore Kids, a celebrity golf tournament that benefits local charities. The tournament was held at the Falmouth Country Club, just a short drive from Portland.
The celebrity field that played in the 2nd year of the tournament was highly impressive. Patrick Dempsey, Roger Clemens, Doug Flutie, Marshall Faulk, and Rhonde Barber were just some of the big names that teed off for golf supremacy and to help promote the amazing cause.
The total prize purse for the celebrities was $265,000, with the winner bringing home $50,000. That’s not a bad chunk of coin for a weekend of work. Plus, is golf really work? It would be former tennis star Mardy Fish who took home the honors of winning the tournament. The six-time ATP Tour winner is known for being one of the best celebrity golfers on the circuit.
But we all know what this tournament was truly about, and that’s giving back. Kudos to all the players, sponsors, and folks behind the scenes for putting together such a beautiful event for the Barabra Bush Children’s Hospital and Dempsey Center.
According to Shamrock, Drive FORE Kids raised a total of $100,000 for both organizations. That is a stunning number that everyone should be extremely proud of.
