In the early hours of July 9, a white Audi, allegedly driven by a property dealer, ran over five people sleeping on a footpath in South West Delhi’s Vasant Vihar, critically injuring all of them, including an eight-year-old girl.

The driver, Utsav Shekhar, 40, was arrested shortly after the incident. According to the Delhi Police, Shekhar was intoxicated and driving toward his home in Dwarka when the crash occurred near a petrol pump in front of Shiva Camp around 1.45 am.
