Duncan & Toplis names Ian Brown as new chief finance officer

Duncan & Toplis, a UK-based accountancy and business advisory practice, has appointed Ian Brown as its chief finance officer.
Brown officially joined the Duncan & Toplis team on 22 April 2025.
He has expertise in financial management and strategic planning, which is said to be instrumental in supporting the firm’s ongoing growth vision.
Brown’s career of more than 20 years includes senior finance positions at “leading” organisations and global brands.
Notably, his previous roles at companies such as Boots, Hillarys, and Simplify have seen him play a role in scaling businesses, driving growth, and enhancing operations.
Brown’s recent involvement was in UK and international development, particularly leading mergers and acquisitions at Hunter Douglas.

This move comes as the firm approaches its centenary in 2025 and is said to be experiencing its “biggest” growth period to date.
