ECU Health Beaufort Hospital President Dennis Campbell, II named to Becker’s 2025 list of Community Hospital Presidents and CEOs to Know
Dennis Campbell II, DHA, RN, president of ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s list of 207 Community Hospital Presidents and CEOs to Know for 2025. The national list highlights presidents and CEOs who lead with a deep commitment to high-quality, cost-effective care tailored to the unique needs of their local communities. Campbell also served as interim president ofECU Health North Hospital in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
“I am honored to be recognized among so many dedicated leaders working to advance rural health,” said Campbell. “This achievement reflects the incredible teamwork at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital and our commitment to supporting both patients and team members across eastern North Carolina. According to Becker’s, while many community hospitals focus on acute care, these forward-thinking leaders are also expanding services to include primary care, specialty treatments, rehabilitation, public health programs and beyond. They drive strategy, shape workplace culture, grow service lines and foster long-term sustainability, all with their communities at heart.

In 2024, Campbell also served as interim president of ECU Health North Hospital in Roanoke Rapids, NC, effectively guiding both facilities through a key transition period. Known for fostering innovation and building strong partnerships, Campbell aligns services with the evolving needs of the community while supporting education and workforce development through board service with Beaufort County Community College and Eastern Area Health Education Center.
