Indiana lands versatile Florida recruit LaRon Dues following official visit
LaRon Dues has chosen Indiana over Oregon, West Virginia, Georgia Tech and USF. Dues is a two-way talent with chops as a pass catcher as well as defensive back. The decision inches Indiana towards a top-25 recruiting class. The Hoosiers strike in the Sunshine State for the second time in a week with Dues, not long after flipping another Sarasota native in Kevontay Hugan. “I’ll bring all of me to IU and my message to the fans is Hoosier nation wake up, I’m home!”
LaRon Dues has been busy on the visit trail but after spending the weekend in Bloomington, a decision has been made.

Learning of the full role was the best part of the official visit to campus over the weekend, per the Floridian.
“The meetings because that’s where I was showed where I will be playing most likely,” Dues said. “They want me to play strong safety and their plan is for me to play early and be a playmaker.”
The future position coach in Bloomington helped to spearhead this recruitment through Tuesday’s announcement.
“Coach Ola Adams is my guy up there,” Dues said. “And everyone was very excited that I was coming…

BREAKING: FSU lands another big man with commitment of 4-star DL Tico Crittendon
Four-star DL Tico Crittendon has announced his commitment to Florida State. The 6’4 285 DL from Lithonia, FL chose the Seminoles over Tennessee, Georgia, & Texas Tech. “This was real love for me. Everywhere on the D Line, I can play it all,” he said. Florida State clearly needed defensive line help from the high school side in the 2026 cycle. To land a guy that has only taken one visit to FSU is impressive work. He is a prospect that can play both EDGE and the defensive tackle position if it’s needed.

“Man I had a great time,” Crittendon said as he wrapped up on campus. “I would say the thing that stood out to me is how they came together. You got some real brotherhood stuff. I remember talking to the guys at my position. This was real love for me.”
Crittendon mentioned conversations with Tennessee transfer DL Jayson Jenkins and several other defensive linemen as weekend highlights.
The big moment in the recruitment seemed to be when the Seminoles’ coaching staff traveled to Lithonia (Ga.) to see Crittendon at school. Crittendon gave FSU a shot and everything else from that point was history.
“He (Mike Norvell) kept it real the whole time,” said Crittendon. “So I said I need to get over there and see what Florida State is talking about. Everywhere on the D Line, I can play it all. Coach (Terrance) Knighton is a great man. He’s got that feeling to him where he knows how to switch it on.”
Michael’s analysis on four-star DL Tico Crittendon
Florida State clearly needed defensive line help from the high school side in the 2026 cycle. So to land a guy that has only taken one visit to FSU is impressive work. He also visited Georgia and a few other schools in the official visit process.
He’s a prospect that can play both EDGE and the defensive tackle position if it’s needed. I would say he’s more of the EDGE type in fitting Tony White’s system but this is a very good start for Florida State this summer to get him in the fold.

New Mexico State lands an OL commit
Riley Ledbetter, a 6-foot-3, 256-pound center, committed to New Mexico State on Thursday. Ledbetter had offers from Montana, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss and North Texas. He is excited to man the center position for the Aggies in the future.

“He committed last Thursday,” confirmed Riley’s father Finley Ledbetter. “He thinks that’s just a place he can play and he likes New Mexico. The other schools he went and looked at this summer he just didn’t feel the same thing. He likes Las Cruces, it’s in the mountains, he likes to ski. He’s one of those linemen, they’re different birds. He kind of does his own thing.”
Ledbetter had several other schools that were eager to get his signature including offers from Montana, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss and North Texas. However, the feel at New Mexico State was the right fit and he is excited to man the center position for the Aggies in the future.
In fact, he’s so excited that he hopes to enroll early.
“He’s going to enroll at Christmas,” said his father. “He’s graduating from high school at Christmas and he’ll be enrolling early. We’re glad this happened for him. It’s a place he wants to be. They’ve communicated well with him.”
