Florida State athletics announced on Friday that softball head coach Lonni Alameda will be inducted into the Florida Sports Hall of Fame.

As part of the 2025 class, Alameda will be the 27th Florida State Seminole to be inducted. She joins former golfer Colleen Walker as the only FSU female to be in the hall of fame.

Alameda completed her 17th season with the Seminoles. While battling breast cancer, FSU still finished the year with a 49-12 record and made it to the Super Regional.

Throughout her coaching career, she has led the Seminoles to every NCAA tournament appearance. She is one of the four schools (FSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, and UCLA) to host an NCAA regional in the last 11 seasons, and has made it to the College World Series five times during her tenure, winning in 2018 for the first time in program history.

In the ACC, Alameda led FSU to nine ACC tournament championships and won eight ACC regular-season titles. She recorded over 800 wins, 78 percent of which were at home.
