JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell County Financial Management System Committee met on Tuesday evening to conduct the first two interviews with the four finalists that have applied for the county finance director position.
Peyton Webb and Eric Pearson were interviewed on Tuesday, with one interview taking place at 6pm at the county courthouse and the second interview was at 7 pm.
Pearson is currently employed as the Claiborne County Finance Director.
Peyton Webb was also interviewed on Tuesday evening.
Webb currently serves as an Analyst, and Regulatory Oversight and Reporting for the Tennessee Valley Authority in Knoxville.
Two other candidates, Brandon R. Walters and Karen Henegar, are expected to be interviewed on Thursday evening, beginning at six o’clock.
After the committee conducts interviews on the four candidates, the field will be narrowed down to two candidates, which will get a second interview to narrow it down to a final choice.
Initially, the county received 23 interested applicants for the position but whittled that down to four to be interviewed.
The FMS committee met twice in June to start the search for a finance director, after county finance director Jeff Marlow announced his resignation/retirement and that his last day will be Sept. 26th. That is the last day for the county’s purchasing agent Lisa Bowlin and the county’s budget analyst Richard Terry. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/23/2025-6AM)
