Today, the arrival of climatic and environmental sciences has caused huge concerns in both the general public and the academic community about the perverse effects that degradation of the environment has and will have on the quality of human life and progress. This has led to the formation of a consensus where the state’s role is heavily emphasized in the protection of the environment through various measures, We have through our research tried to construct theoretical and empirical justification that go against this orthodoxy by showing that private property rights and use of markets fare better in environment conservation than state conservation methods.
