Samsung’s next high-end Android tablets are on the way, with new leaked images showing off the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and its key display change.

The “Ultra” tablet in Samsung’s lineup is a giant, 14.6-inch device that’s remarkably thin, but still packing a punch in performance and power. Yet, a key part of each generation of Samsung’s biggest tablet has been a display notch to house a pair of front-facing cameras, a design trait not present on the rest of the lineup.

WinFuture has now obtained and published images of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, showcasing the familiar design of the super-sized tablet. The report claims that the Ultra will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9400, 16GB of RAM, an 11,600 mAh battery, and ship with Android 16 / One UI 8, all in a package that’s just “around” 5mm thick.

The only visible change in these images is seen in the display notch, where Samsung has lessened the size considerably. The notch is now rounded and is barely a half-circle cut into the panel. This is the result of Samsung dropping one of the front-facing cameras. Where prior models had bother a standard lens and an ultrawide one, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has just one.

Ultimately, this might be for the best for users, though it’s still bizarre to have a notch of any kind with a tablet this large.

In any case, the report mentions that Samsung will apparently launch the Galaxy Tab S11 series soon, possibly around IFA 2025 in early September.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra leak teases a notch-y design tweak

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is rumored to launch in early September. A new leak shows off the tablet’s design in striking detail. The rear design appears unchanged, with dual cameras and an LED flash. Samsung will apparently slim down the tablet to 5mm, down from the 5.4mm waistline of its predecessor. The tablet is expected to run Android 16-based One UI 8, putting it among the first tablets to run Google’s latest OS. The Tab S10 Lite should also go official at the same event.

Samsung is among the few major Android manufacturers still making high-end tablets. The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra still stands out for its ridiculously large but beautiful 14.6-inch OLED panel. With the Tab S11 Ultra rumored to launch in early September, a new leak shows off the tablet’s design in striking detail.

The first Galaxy Tab S11 render leaked over a month ago, revealing a major front design change. Today’s renders are of significantly higher resolution and show off the tablet from all angles in all its glory. They confirm that Samsung will indeed ditch the two-camera notch in favor of a slimmer semicircle notch that presumably houses one camera.

It’s tough to say from the renders whether the new Galaxy tablet sports slimmer bezels.

The rear design appears unchanged, with dual cameras — a 12MP primary and a 13MP ultrawide — alongside an LED flash located in the top-right corner. One design tidbit that’s not visible in the renders: a slimmer profile. Samsung will apparently slim down the tablet to 5mm, down from the 5.4mm waistline of its predecessor.

According to WinFuture, the Tab S11 Ultra will pack a 14.6-inch OLED display with a 2960 x 1848 resolution. Under the hood, it will seemingly use MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9400 chip, with a 5G variant also in the cards.

Other rumored specs include 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, and an 11,600mAh battery — a slight increase from the 11,200mAh cell on the Tab S10 Ultra. Considering that the tablet’s rumored to sport an even slimmer profile, a larger battery seems impressive.

Out of the box, the Tab S11 Ultra should ship with Android 16-based One UI 8, putting it among the first tablets to run Google’s latest OS. Like other Samsung devices, it should get seven years of OS updates.

Samsung’s new flagship tablet should debut at IFA 2025

All signs point to Samsung unveiling the Tab S11 Ultra alongside its smaller sibling at IFA 2025 on September 4, 2025. The Tab S10 Lite should also go official at the same event.

Leaks have not mentioned anything about pricing so far, but don’t expect the S11 Ultra to be cheap.
