Galaxy Watch 8 series leak shows Samsung’s upcoming wearables from every angle

Evan Blass shared what appears to be near-final, official-looking renders for the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) Samsung is adapting the ‘squircle’ look of last year’s Galaxy WatchUltra for all three models this year. The most noticeable tweak comes down to the default color choice, swapping last year’s vibrant orange band for a more subdued navy. With just a couple of weeks to go until Samsung’s rumored Unpacked event, a new leak is delivering our best look yet at the entire Galaxy Watch 8 family.

These images come courtesy of Evan Blass, who shared what appears to be near-final, official-looking renders for the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025). Nothing here necessarily showcases anything we haven’t seen in previous leaks, but if you’ve been wondering what Samsung’s next watch series looks like from practically every angle, now we know.

As we’ve seen before, Samsung is adapting the ‘squircle’ look of last year’s Galaxy Watch Ultra for all three models this year, though it’s taking a slightly more subtle approach with the base Watch 8. It’s not too far off from its predecessor, extending outwards from the display on all four diagonal corners while still looking relatively circular. It’s also looking a bit slimmer than the Watch 7’s 9.7mm chassis, though from these renders, it’s tough to say exactly how slim.

Otherwise, it’s what you’d expect from a Samsung-made smartwatch: a couple of buttons, a microphone, various health sensors, and a circular display.

It’s the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic that’s bound to draw a little more controversy. Unlike its smaller, cheaper sibling, this year’s Classis is adopting the Ultra’s style with no holds barred, making the entire watch look bulkier in the process. In some ways, it actually looks like a less-rugged take on the Ultra, swapping its silicone band for leather and appearing to keep the rotating bezel the Classic series is best known for. It’s also far thicker than the standard Watch 8 from its side profile, again appearing more in line with the Ultra.

Speaking of, let’s look at the new Galaxy Watch Ultra. Since Samsung is adopting its top-tier wearable’s look for its other two models, this year’s Ultra remains relatively unchanged compared to its predecessor. The most noticeable tweak comes down to the default color choice, swapping last year’s vibrant orange band for a more subdued navy. While the Watch 8’s color choices seem fairly boring this year, the Ultra’s new silver-and-blue combination appears pretty attractive to my eyes — and should go pretty far in downplaying any Apple Watch Ultra comparisons for the second year in a row.

We’re also expecting to see the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 at Samsung’s Unpacked event next month, which is rumored to take place July 9th. Blass also shared renders of the Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE today, showing off some vibrant — and not-so-vibrant — color options.
