Google introduced the Pixel 10 series with intelligent AI and software advancements. Gboard is also getting some love as Google fueled it with AI-powered Writing Tools that seem taken from Samsung’s Galaxy AI playbook.

Google announced AI Writing Tools for Gboard, debuting with the Pixel 10 series. The new features would surely expand to older Pixel phones and ultimately, various Android phones would benefit from these upgrades.

With AI Writing Tools, Gboard can now check your texts and fix writing errors. Google says this new Gboard experience offers rewrites in a specified style.

For instance, if you need your text to sound more professional or want to find the perfect emojis to convey your feeling. Additionally, you can use voice commands to help rephrase or rewrite the message.

The Gboard AI upgrade sounds a lot like Samsung’s Writing Assist features. Debuted as Chat Assist, the Writing Assist helps you address errors in your messages. It also lets you modify the message, such as structure and tone.

Gboard’s integration with Galaxy AI is bad news for Samsung. Since Writing Assist is available through Samsung Keyboard, it keeps Galaxy users connected with its in-house keyboard app.

Samsung Keyboard is a pretty nice app, but Gboard offers improved simplicity and ease of access. As Google’s version gets AI-derived tools, Samsung Keyboard would indeed see a drop in usage.
