If you’re having trouble controlling lights via Google Home and voice commands, you’re not alone, as Google has acknowledged some issues regarding this functionality and is working to roll out a fix.

Over the past several days, a number of Google Home users have noted issues with controlling their lights. There are reports of issues within the actual Google Home app, but the bigger issue has been around voice commands through Assistant.

Several threads on Reddit and Google’s Nest forums show users running into problems with controlling lights in specific rooms over the past few days. In particular, the problem seems to involved users being unable to control specific lights or control lights in a specific room. So, “turn off all lights” may work, but if you try to control a specific light fixture or the lights in a specific room, the command seems to fail. The issue popped up sometime last week and has persisted for those affected into this week.

Google acknowledged the issue over the weekend, but has more recently confirmed that a fix is now rolling out.
