ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The 2025 Chicagoland Health Equity Fiesta Tour & Senior Festival works to increase access to care for underserved and aging populations in Illinois.

The free, family-friendly fest takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. August 2 at 3301 N. Mulford Road.

The event includes free health screenings, dental checks, vaccinations, mental health resources, nutrition counseling and fitness demonstrations. There are also on-site senior services, Medicare education and workshops on healthy aging.

“This event brings life-saving services and hope directly into the neighborhoods that need it most, “said Cesar Rolon, event organizer. “Partnering with leaders like Mayor McNamara and Rep. Vella demonstrates that health equity and community wellness are bipartisan priorities that we must address-together.”

A film based on the true stories of two Latina survivors of domestic violence, “The Power of Being a Woman: A Short Film that Breaks the Silence,” will also be screened during the event.

Admission is free and open to the public.
