HOPE Celebrity Invitational to be held at River Landing
The 16th annual Hope For The Warriors Celebrity Invitational will be held next month. The event invites celebrities, military leaders and the community to honor the country’s heroes. The event is scheduled as follows:
Saturday, August 23: Celebrity & Flag Officer Dinner at 5 p.m. followed by a Celebrity Host Meet & Greet at Mad Boar, Meade Room at 6 p.m. with Johnny Bench, Doug Flynn & Craig Conover providing live entertainment at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 24: Par 3 Tee times throughout this window, no shotgun from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests can enjoy Warrior Night at Mad Boar, Celtic Court from 5 to 6 p.m. with Cocktail Reception at 6 to 9 p.m. and an after party.
Monday, August 25: Golf Day will be held with registration and breakfast kicking off the day at 7 a.m., and opening ceremonies at 9 a.m. The shotgun start begins at 9:30 a.m. with lunch served at 2:30 p.m. and Karaoke at the Clubhouse at 7 p.m.

15th annual Hope For The Warriors celebrity golf tournament set for Aug. 26
Hope For The Warriors will host its annual celebrity golf tournament on Aug. 26. The tournament, in which 200 golfers will compete, is set to start at 9:30 a.m. It and other planned events will raise money for the nonprofit. Since 2010, the tournament has raised over $1.9 million for Hope For The Warrior. The Celebrity Invitational is hosted by World Series champions Johnny Bench and Doug Flynn.

“Founded aboard Camp Lejeune, Hope For The Warriors is a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a foundation of stability, strength and community for post-9/11 veterans, service members and military families,” the announcement states. “This year the multi-day event features five events at River Landing and its clubhouse including the Par 3 Challenge, warrior night and warrior night after party on Sunday, August 25.
“The marquee event, The Celebrity Invitational golf tournament and karaoke and volunteer appreciation events are on Monday, August 26. The Celebrity Invitational is hosted by World Series champions Johnny Bench and Doug Flynn with the longstanding support of the River Landing community and its residents.”
Since 2010, the tournament has raised over $1.9 million for Hope For The Warriors.
