The guide has step-by-step instructions for using certain modes — like Add Me — and helpful tips for others. When Google announced its 2025 Pixel Feature Drop, one feature went relatively unnoticed — something called “Camera Education.” The feature wasn’t ready at the time of the feature drop earlier this month, but it’s starting to roll out now.
As Google explains, the feature is designed to help you learn more about your Pixel camera’s features so you can take better photos and videos.
To take a look through the guide, tap the new “?” button that appears on the top right of the camera app. When you open it, you’ll see a list of every camera mode, like panorama, astro, night sight, and macro focus. When you tap on any one of them, you’ll see a section that shows real-life photos taken by Pixel users in that mode and a how-to section that walks you through how to use that mode.
The guide has step-by-step instructions for using certain modes — like Add Me — and helpful tips for others. You’ll even find tips on using Pro Mode, which lets you fine-tune settings like ISO and shutter speed.
Over the past several years, Pixel phones have had some of the best cameras on the market, so it makes sense that Google would want to ensure that users are aware of all the power they have in their hands.

I don’t have the feature on my phone yet, even though I have the latest camera update and Android 16, but I saw screenshots from other people who did have it. Despite knowing my way around cameras (both phone and DSLR), I found the explainer useful.
