A British cabinet minister said Sunday that the government was informed of the U.S. attack on Iran in advance but was not involved. “We are not and have not been involved in these attacks but … we are informed,” Secretary of State for Business and Trade Jonathan Reynolds said on Sky News. “I can’t tell you exactly when we did know, but we were informed, as you might expect, by a key ally of this action.” He said “no request was made” for Britain to back the strikes militarily.
