Microsoft is highlighting several new features that are coming to Windows 11 and Copilot+ PCs, starting today in preview, all of which we know about already thanks to the Windows Insider Preview Program.

“Today, we continue to make new experiences generally available for Windows 11 and Copilot+ PC users that make Windows more intuitive, more accessible, and ultimately more useful,” the Windows Experience Blog team writes in the announcement post. “Windows is here to meet you where you are, with intuitive experiences built in to make what you already do on your PC even easier.”

To be clear, there is nothing new here beyond it being the Tuesday of Week D, so some of these features are “available” today, albeit in preview and for those who opt-in to a perpetual beta test. They are:

New agent in Settings. Billed as “the first agent in Windows,” those with Copilot+ PCs will be able to use natural language to find settings in the Windows 11 Settings app. This is available now in preview, but only for those with a Snapdragon X-based Copilot+ PC using English.

Click to Do (Preview) improvements. Another Copilot+ PC exclusive, Click to Do (Preview) is getting new actions like Practice in Reading Coach, Read with Immersive Reader, Draft with Copilot in Word, send a Teams message, and schedule a Teams meeting.

Photo relight in Photos. Available only on Copilot+ PCs with a Snapdragon X processor–AMD and Intel are coming soon–this feature provides professional lighting controls with up to three virtual light sources, manual controls, and built-in presets.

Sticker generator and Object select in Paint. Once again, these features are exclusive to Copilot+ PC.

Perfect screenshot and Color picker in Snipping Tool. One of the most versatile apps in Windows 11 is getting even better with a Perfect screenshot tool that can auto-crop to windows or other selections and a handy Color picker utility. This one, at least, is available to everyone on Windows 11.

Copilot Vision. Now available but only in the U.S., this feature is available from the Copilot app and in Microsoft Edge so you can interact with and learn more about anything you see on-screen.

Edge Game Assist. This is a new Edge-based mini-web browser inside Game Bar that lets you get help with any videogame without leaving the game.

Quick machine recovery. This useful new feature will automatically detect and fix issues that trigger unexpected restarts. It’s tied to a new “unexpected restart experience,” i.e. Blue Screen of Death (BSoD), that reduces the reboot wait time from 40 seconds to as little as 2 seconds on most PCs running Windows 11 version 24H2. Also, the BSoD is black now, not blue.

And on that note, the Week D preview updates are now available for Windows 11 version 24H2 and Windows 11 version 23H2, so you can potentially start seeing these new features now/soon. And Windows 10, too, which just has a few minor fixes.
