If there were ever a wedding to rival a red carpet, it’s this one.

As Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez tie the knot in what’s already being hailed as the “wedding of the century,” all eyes have turned to Venice, not just for the romance but for the fashion.

The couple’s three-day celebration kicked off with a candlelit welcome at the gothic Madonna dell’Orto church, followed by a stay fit for billionaires at the ultra-exclusive Aman Hotel, where 200 of the world’s most influential names are being hosted.

Held in the famously private gardens of San Giorgio Island, the ceremony itself remains out of bounds to the public, but the guestlist certainly doesn’t. Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s multiday wedding has begun, and power players from politics, business, and Hollywood have converged in Venice to celebrate.

The canals outside the city’s most expensive hotels, like the Gritti Palace and Aman, have become a paparazzo’s dream as the 200 guests of the Amazon founder and his fiancée, a former news anchor, board water taxis and mingle on terraces.

Famous faces like first daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, and fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg began to arrive in Venice on Tuesday. By Thursday, power players like Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, and members of the Kardashian-Jenner family were being photographed around the city. Bezos’ family, including his father Miguel, his brother and venture investor Mark, and his sister-in-law Lisa, have also been spotted.

Since Bezos and Sánchez’s relationship went public in 2019, they have been a fixture of A-list events, such as the Met Gala, Vanity Fair Oscars Party, and Formula 1 races, often photographed with celebrities, rather than people from the tech world.

Some unwelcome guests are also planning on attending. Venice locals have been protesting against Bezos ahead of the wedding this month, with signs posted around the city that read, “No space for Bezos.”

Protest organizers, who have cited concerns with overtourism, have vowed to disrupt the wedding, saying they would potentially try to block access to some venues. The city, for its part, has denounced the protests and said it welcomes the wedding.

Reality stars, actors, royals and a whole host of A-listers have travelled to Venice for the lavish wedding between Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez.

Oprah Winfrey, Orlando Bloom, Kylie Jenner and Ivanka Trump were just some of the celebrities seen on the boats and streets of the Italian city on Thursday and Friday.

The festivities are expected to last three days, ending with a large party for the married couple and their hundreds of guests on Saturday.

The event has attracted protests from a variety of groups in Venice, including locals fighting over-tourism to climate change activists.

Venice has become the hotspot of high glamour this week as Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez host what may be the most lavish wedding celebration of the year.

The multi-day event has drawn several A-list guests, from Kim Kardashian and Oprah Winfrey to Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, and the Jenner sisters, all dressed in show-stopping looks for the special occasion.

As predicted, scores of celebrities flocked to Italy today for the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez in Venice. Attendees included Queen Rania of Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, Karlie Kloss, Usher, Tom Brady, Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, and many others. (Side note: I’m stressed just thinking about the security situation.)

Although the guest list was seriously stacked, I was particularly curious to see what the Kardashian-Jenner clan would wear for the occasion. Luckily, they did not disappoint. Kris, Kendall, and Kylie Jenner joined Kim and Khloé Kardashian—we missed you, Kourtney!—at the Italian affair, all dressed to the nines. Kendall’s outfit immediately stuck out to me. The sheer bodice gave her black gown a fashionable, sultry edge, while her vibrant emerald jewelry provided a chic pop of color.
