Jimmy Kimmel has revealed the list of celebrities that will take over hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! during the summer break, and the list is filled with popular comedians. The talk show host has taken a break from hosting his show every summer since 2020. While many of the celebrities taking over Kimmel’s role this summer will be hosting for the first time, there are also some returning names.

As revealed by Deadline, Anthony Anderson, Nicole Byer, Alan Cumming, Chris Distefano, Fortune Feimster, Jelly Roll, Diego Luna, and Kumail Nanjiani will be appearing as the hosts of Jimmy Kimmel Live! this summer. Only three of the confirmed guests have hosted the show before, including Anderson, Byer, and Nanjiani. The guest appearances will begin on Monday, June 23rd with Luna as the host. Luna’s time on the show will feature guest appearances by Patton Oswalt, David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, Emma Stone, Adria Arjona, Alan Tudyk, Ariela Barer, Heidi Klum, Dolores Huerta, and the musicians, NEZZA, Hermanos Gutiérrez, and Good Charlotte.

Kimmel has a great celebrity guest lineup for the year, and I have no doubt that hilarity will ensue following the upcoming guest appearances. It will be especially interesting to see Anderson, Byer, and Nanjiani return as hosts and see how their jokes or comedic styles may have changed since they last hosted. As the three of them have also been regular guests on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, it will also be interesting to compare their times as regular guests in contrast to what they are like as hosts again.

It is always interesting to see how people with limited hosting experience act when they suddenly become the late night host.

However, the three returning faces are not the only ones to look forward to with Kimmel’s new celebrity guest lineup.
