Jordan Love debate sparks backlash against Fox Sports co-host
Jordan Love is entering his third season as the Green Bay Packers’ starter. Fox Sports co-host Danny Jankins suggested the Chicago Bears’ young star Caleb Williams is better than Love. The comments stirred up plenty of fans who fired away at Parkins in the YouTube video’s comments. Many commenters also mentioned that Parkins is from Chicago, which likely contributed to his suggestion that Williams was better than the Packers’ Love.. Love is entering his third season as the Packers’ starter, and there have been constant comparisons between him and others at the position. One of the most recent involved a debate stirred up involving his NFC North rival, the Chicago Bears’ young star Caleb Williams.
The initial take arrived from Pro Football Focus and suggested that the ceiling for Williams is Love. However, a more recent take on Fox Sports’ First Things First stirred up fans who blasted the critic for his remarks.

While appearing on the show, FS1’s Danny Jankins delivered a surprising take in which he suggested Williams is better than Love. Yes, that’s what he said.

“How bout this? Caleb Williams…already better than Jordan Love. How bout that?” Parkins asked First Things First’s Kevin Wildes and Chris Broussard.
“Jordan Love has played the majority of two seasons. Both of those seasons, double-digit interceptions,” Parkins said, adding, “Caleb Williams played 17 games last year, had six [interceptions].”
Broussard and Wildes immediately disagreed with Parkins’ take. However, he persisted, indicating that Williams “took too many sacks” and “the offensive line was playing guys who were on other teams’ practice squads at the beginning of the year.”
PFF’s floor for Caleb Williams was “bust,” which Parkins argued is “off the table.”

“If you watched Caleb Williams, there’s no earthly way you could believe that that guy is gonna bust,” he said, referencing his impressive touchdown-to-interception ratio.
Broussard said that he doesn’t think Williams will be a bust, but he needs to be “very good this year,” and if he struggles this year, then “bust is on the table.”
Parkins’ remarks about Williams and Love stirred up plenty of fans who fired away at him in the YouTube video’s comments.
“I am aware that the teams are different, but before we begin Jordan-love analogies, Caleb must qualify for the playoffs,” one commenter wrote.
“Hard to listen to Parkins talk about football,” another YouTube comment said.

“Danny is getting really good at the whole rage bait thing,” one commenter suggested.
“Dude 11 interceptions is not even high what is Danny’s argument,” a commenter asked.
Many commenters also mentioned that Parkins is from Chicago, which likely contributed to his suggestion that Williams is better than Love. Most likely, it was designed to grab attention, and it certainly did that, although many commenters seem to be calling for Nick Wright to return to the show ASAP.
Jordan Love successfully guided Green Bay to back-to-back postseason appearances as a starter. It’s expected they’ll contend for the NFC North division and a playoff spot once again behind a strong core of players.

Williams led the Bears to a 5-12 record in his rookie season. As he enters his sophomore season with the Chicago Bears, he’ll need to prove his abilities and impact by guiding the team back to the playoffs.

The Good Morning America anchor has come under fire in the last few days after he was spotted inadvertently failing to put his hand over his heart while the national anthem was playing. In a new post on Instagram on Tuesday, the former football star is speaking out, maintaining it was a complete accident, as well as his longtime support for the nation’s military. “I grew up on a military base with a father who was a Major in the army, my brother, my sister, my cousins, they all served in the military,” he said. “The fact of somebody saying that you know, I’m ‘unpratriotic’ couldn’t be any further from the truth,” he added. “If you want the truth, I’ll tell you the truth: it’s that I was caught up in the moment! I’m looking at all of these young sailors standing there, at attention, the national Anthem starts, and I’m thinking to myself, ‘How incredible’

In his video, he started: “Everybody it’s Michael here, and I want to address what happened this past weekend. Now I feel like I got to address it because it just feels over to the point where I get out of my car today and I’m ambushed by the media here at my house,” and noted: “Which I’m not proud of the way I handled that situation, but I think anybody out there can understand, things you gotta do, you’re gonna protect your family, you’re gonna protect your home, which is what I felt I needed to do in that moment.”
He then explained: “It all stems from this past weekend in San Diego with my FOX crew, [I spent] two days in San Diego with the Navy Seals, there were sailors there, I did a two hour pre-show praising the military and all that they’ve done for us, celebrating Veterans Day, and we had our national anthem, I didn’t have my hand over my chest”
Michael then added how “everybody thought, ‘He’s protesting, he’s making a statement,'” though maintained it’s “so far from the truth.”
He went on: “I have nothing to protest, I have no statement to be made,” emphasizing: “The only statement that should be made and that I want to make is that I love the military, I’ve always loved the military, and I will always love the military.”

Sharing more insight into the blunder, he added: “If you want the truth, I’ll tell you the truth: it’s that I was caught up in the moment! I’m looking at all of these young sailors standing there, at attention, the national anthem starts, and I’m thinking to myself, ‘How incredible.’ How incredible to be that young and to know that you want to do this, like it’s such a commitment but you’re willing to commit to something that you know gets us our freedoms.”

“Plain and simple,” he maintained. “I’m just sitting there in amazement, which I’m always amazed, because I don’t take it for granted, no matter where we go around the world, from Afghanistan to all the military institutions here in this country.”

He lastly recalled: “By the time I looked up from that moment, all my FOX guys had their hands over their heart, the national anthem playing, I’m somewhat panicked, [thinking], ‘Do I be the fool that puts his hand on his heart after? Or do I just stand here with my hands respectfully?'”
“Which that’s what I did, that’s what happened, and if that offended any of our military and veterans, I apologize to you, because that was never my intent. I’m a product of the military, a proud lover of the military and proud lover of all those who serve before, now, and who will serve in the future,” Michael concluded.
