Volunteer operations have been suspended in Kerr County as heavy rainfall has triggered flash flood warnings.

“All self-deployed volunteers need to heed this warning as well for their safety,” Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha said in a Facebook post.

The suspension includes both ground and river search efforts until further notice. The area is receiving around one to two inches of rain per hour.
