Iran’s Supreme Leader Allegedly Spends Day Sleeping and Using Drugs: Controversial Mossad‑Linked Social Media Claims
According to an unbelievable tweet issued by the Farsi social media account of Mossad, the supreme leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei spends a great deal of days napping. “How can a leader lead when they sleep half the day and spend the other half high on substances?” the post asked. It was posted by an unusual new premium X account which was started 1-2 weeks ago and pretends to be a spokesperson of the clever Israeli intelligence agency. Two intelligence experts interviewed by JFeed express that the weird Mossad page in this case does indeed seem legit. The Mossad has not actually made any official declaration concerning the rumours.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Allegedly Spends Day Sleeping and Using Drugs: According to an unbelievable tweet issued by the Farsi social media account of Mossad, the supreme leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei spends a great deal of days napping and getting a buzz following the 12-day war.
“How can a leader lead when they sleep half the day and spend the other half high on substances?” the post asked.
It was posted by an unusual new premium X account which was started 1-2 weeks ago and pretends to be a spokesperson of the clever Israeli intelligence agency in Farsi language, which claims to be the official dialect of Iran.

“Using drugs and speaking to spirits are not appropriate traits for someone leading a nation,” the account said in another recent post.
It is not how the Mossaid tends to treat the rest of the population with respect to communication, but two intelligence experts interviewed by JFeed express that the weird Mossad page in this case does indeed seem legit.
“It’s a new battlefield tool,” said Zvi Yehezkeli, a prominent Arab affairs commentator to i24News, who stated that Iranians have grown so disappointed with the regime and Mossad does not play the same role there as it does in the other countries.
“Some of the information it has shared could only have come from Mossad,” agreed Beny Sabti, a former IDF Persian-language officer, and Iran expert, at the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies.
It is not the first time that Ali Khamenei is accused of using drugs.
In a 2022 television interview on Muslim Brotherhood-affinated television in Turkey, an Iranian scholar, said that the Iranian Supreme Leader takes drugs frequently.

“Many viewers do not know this, but Khamenei himself uses drugs,” Nour Mohamed Omara said on Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated television in Turkey in 2022.
“He has a special village in Balochistan, where the drugs used by the leader are produced. This village is run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and no one is allowed in.”
Paradoxically, Ayatollah has gone ahead to openly endorse that drug use, particularly opium is un-Islamic following 1979 Iranian Revolution- subsequently, and punishment in Islamic Republic of Iran on infractions related to drugs entails death penalty.
The Mossad has not actually made any official declaration concerning the rumours on Ali Khamenei being a drug user or being the brains behind the social media account.

Israeli-linked X account accuses Iran’s supreme leader of drug use and failure to address public suffering amid water and power crises.
By David Brummer, World Israel News
A social media account affiliated with Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency launched a scathing attack on Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Friday, accusing him of drug use and detachment from his people.
“Khamenei spends all day sleeping and getting high,” read the post, originally written in Farsi and shared by the verified @MossadSpokesman account.
Though the post did not name Khamenei directly, it was widely understood to target the 86-year-old leader.
The account added that Khamenei is “unfit to govern a country where people can’t access water or electricity.”
It also cited the country’s worsening infrastructure, blackouts, and water shortages—issues that have fueled nationwide protests.
The tweet, viewed over 180,000 times within two days, marks the latest provocative statement by the @MossadSpokesman account, often referred to as “Mossad Farsi.”
While Israel has never officially confirmed it runs the account, it is widely seen as a Mossad outlet aimed at undermining the Iranian regime.
The platform has previously made headlines.
After Iran’s top war commander, Gholam Ali Rashid, was killed during the first Israeli strike in the current conflict—and his successor Ali Shadmani was swiftly assassinated—the regime refused to name a replacement.
Mossad Farsi quickly took aim.
Posting earlier this month, the account mocked Tehran’s secrecy: “The Iranian regime says it won’t name the new Khatam al-Anbiya commander to protect him. Know that we already know who he is.”
The post called on Iranians to guess the new commander’s name.
More than 2,300 people responded. Some named top officials, including Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba. Others posted jokes or threats.
One user, Behnam Golipour, correctly guessed Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi, a former senior IRGC official and sanctioned figure under ex-president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Mossad Farsi then posted: “The lucky winner is Mr. Behnam. Please contact us to receive your prize.”
Golipour later responded with unease: “I do not receive money from anyone. I am independent and free. The freedom of the Iranian people is the greatest reward.”

The online feud comes at a tense time for Iran, which is facing mounting domestic anger, economic collapse, and foreign pressure.
Meanwhile, the United States—under President Donald Trump—continues to increase sanctions and support for opposition forces.
Khamenei, who has ruled since 1989, rarely appears in public and is often accused by critics of being out of touch.
The latest post from Mossad Farsi plays directly into that image, painting him as a drugged-out recluse while Iranians suffer.
Iranian officials have not responded publicly to the latest claims.

Khamenei has consistently condemned drug use as “un-Islamic,” with Iran imposing severe penalties, including the death sentence, for drug-related crimes.
