KS Sports Hall of Fame: Meet JC Louderback
JC Louderback coached tennis at Arkansas City High School for 36 years. He coached the team to three state championships, and 20 singles and doubles players to a combined 20 state championships. The hall of fame ceremony is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Washburn University.

“He could’ve been the best high school coach in the country ever,” Louderback’s son, Jay, told 13 Sports. “It was a town of 12,000 people, and when I was there this Christmas, we were talking about just the Division 1 kids he produced and we could come up with 14.”
Louderback coached tennis at Arkansas City High School for 36 years. He coached the team to three state championships, and 20 singles and doubles players to a combined 20 state championships.
He passed his coaching genes on to his son Jay, who retired in 2018 after coaching 29 seasons of women’s tennis at the University of Notre Dame.
“Any time I had problems with anything, I called him,” Jay said of his relationship with his father.
The hall of fame ceremony is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Washburn University.
