Kylie Jenner turned heads at the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez in Italy, but not without stirring controversy as the 27-year-old arrived at the star event in a gown that many fans believed was too close in color to white-traditionally reserved for the bride.

Jenner’s custom creation, designed by the Turkish-British designer, Dilara Findikoglu, featured a tightly corseted bodice, lace-up detailing, and slim-fitting silhouette, with black ribbon accents on the straps.

However, the gown, while stunning, sparked a wave of online discussion regarding whether it violated an unwritten wedding guest rule that she may have breached: Never wear white to someone else’s wedding.

The reality TV star and founder of Kylie Cosmetics was seen exiting the Gritti Palace in Venice alongside her sister, Kendall, en route to the highly anticipated nuptials as she kitted herself out in 33-carat Asscher-cut diamond stud earrings and a 25-carat diamond ring.

Her dark hair was styled in a soft updo, with loose tendrils framing her face for a romantic finish as she made sure she was a prime target for any paparazzi, including by showing off her chest with the dress.

Despite the dress appearing white in photos and video footage, a spokesperson for the designer told Page Six Style that the color was not ivory, but “icy blue.” The clarification, however, did little to quiet social media chatter.

Critics on platforms such as Instagram and X.com (formerly Twitter) questioned Jenner’s choice of attire, with some accusing her of disregarding wedding etiquette by donning a shade so closely associated with bridalwear.

Adding to the visual spectacle of the event were her famous family members, known for their starring roles in the iconic hit TV show, Keeping Up with The Kardashians, which ran from 2007-2021.

Kendall chose a sheer black gown paired with a show-stopping 110-carat Colombian emerald necklace and 70-carat drop earrings, also from Lorraine Schwartz, whilst Kim Kardashian wore a slinky chocolate-colored gown adorned with large Moussaieff diamonds.

Khloe Kardashian appeared in a soft pink couture gown by Tamara Ralph, layered under a voluminous feathered cape and complemented by a 100-carat diamond drop necklace,

And finally, the family matriarch, Kris Jenner, rounded out the group’s coordinated looks with a vintage black-and-white Valentino gown and pearl drop earrings, showing off the household’s famous class and taste.

The Kardashians arrived in Venice on June 26 for the wedding of the Amazon billionaire and his bride-to-be, Lauren Sanchez, who was spotted leaving the Hotel Aman on June 27 in a classic white Dior skirt suit, Hermes scarf, and sunglasses by Tom Ford.

Sanchez, who has already made several high-fashion appearances during the wedding weekend, previously wore a striking strapless Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown. Whilst her groom, was seen in a traditional tuxedo.
