Questions Linger Over Air India Crash

According to reports, at least 22 MPs have sought answers from Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu about the investigation on the Air India crash. The lawmakers have questioned on several aspects of the probe, including the black box, safety lapses and possible tampering.

Last week, a preliminary investigation released by India’s Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau revealed confusion in the cockpit shortly before the June 12 crash that killed 260 people, and raised fresh questions over the position of the critical engine fuel cut-off switches.
