Sunday was the airport’s busiest day, with close to 10,000 outbound seats occupied. Despite the uptick in air traffic, airport operations saw minimal delays across 315 scheduled departing flights over the four-day period.
“It’s really nice because you don’t have to show up super early. You can like, get through pretty quickly, even on a big holiday weekend. It seems like they’re usually prepared for that influx of people,” said Austin Lourie, who was heading home to California.
While TSA lines have a reputation for long waits, many passengers credited services like TSA PreCheck and CLEAR Mobile with easing travel stress.
“I’ve seen worse lines — Christmas time is really bad. It’s very busy right now, but I feel like I’ll be fine,” said Landen Scott, who was heading home after the holidays.
