Martha Stewart shared her thoughts on Meghan Markle and Gwyneth Paltrow in an interview with Yahoo! Lifestyle. The 83-year-old cookbook author said she hopes Meghan is “authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter”
Martha Stewart is serving up a plate of honesty.
The cookbook author shared her frank opinions on the burgeoning career of her fellow lifestyle expert Meghan Markle, who launched her As Ever brand earlier this year.
“Meghan, I don’t really know very well, and I hope she knows what she’s talking about,” Martha told Yahoo! Lifestyle in an interview published July 27. “Authenticity, to me, is everything, and to be authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter is extremely important.”
Beyond her wishes for the With Love, Meghan star, the 83-year-old also commented on Gwyneth Paltrow, who created her Goop wellness company in 2008.
“Gwyneth’s been very successful, by the way,” Martha continued. “She created quite an interesting body of businesses. She’s admired. She won an Oscar, for heaven’s sake, as an actress!”
Martha added, “She’s pretty powerful.”
