Maternal and Family Health Services receives grant
Maternal and Family Health Services has been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Fund for Carbon County. The money will be used to provide diapers, wipes, period products and more to families in need in the county. To make a donation or for more information, visit mfhs.org or call 570-273-1288.
This grant will support Maternal and Family Health Services’s efforts to distribute personal hygiene and infant care products at no cost to individuals and families in need throughout Carbon County.
The funding will directly benefit the MFHS Hygiene Pantry, an initiative that ensures individuals in Carbon County have access to essential items such as diapers, wipes, period products and more. These products are often overlooked yet vital to maintaining health, dignity, and quality of life, especially for families facing economic hardship.
The Hygiene Pantry is just one part of MFHS’s broader mission to meet the health and nutrition needs of women, children, and families across Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. By providing not only medical care and nutrition services but also basic necessities such as menstrual products and diapers, MFHS aims to remove barriers to health and help families thrive.
Individuals can visit MFHS at the MFHS Carbon County Center, located at 701 Bridge Street, Suite 303, Body & Soul Complex, Lehighton, PA 18235.
To schedule a reproductive healthcare or WIC Nutrition appointment, or to learn more, community members can call 570-273-1288.
