Meghan McCain Is Pregnant, Expecting 3rd Baby With Ben Domenech
Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow and his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow, revealed in January that they are expecting their first child. Nicole Kidman shared the “massive grief” that she felt after miscarrying in her Tatler magazine cover story in 2018. Meghan McCain opened up about how Liberty — who was born two years after John’s 2018 death — has reminded her of the politician she was married to when she had an ectopic pregnancy. The couple went on to welcome daughter Liberty in September 2020, followed by daughter Clover in January 2023, and then daughter No. 3 in January 2025, according to a report in The New York Times. They have been married since 2017 and have two other daughters, aged 5 and 3. They also have a son, who they named Ben Domenech, who was also born in 2018 and is expected to be born in July 2025, the report said. They are also expecting their third child, a boy.
McCain, 40, reveals her pregnancy in a clip from the upcoming Wednesday, June 25, episode of her “Citizen McCain” podcast. In the excerpt, obtained by People, McCain shares the news with second lady Usha Vance.
“I hope you don’t mind. I wanted to let you in on something that’s private that I haven’t talked about publicly yet,” she says. “I have two little girls. They are almost 5 and almost 3. And I just am entering my second trimester, I’m pregnant with my third.”
McCain jokes that it’s “a weird way to announce” that her family is expanding and notes that she’s “very nervous” about baby No. 3. “It’s a boy,” she adds. “I’m very nervous about having a boy. And I’m very nervous about having three children. Very.”

The former cohost of The View and Domenech, 43, have been married since 2017. Two years later, McCain revealed in a New York Times essay that she suffered a miscarriage.
“Ben and I are the luckiest, most incredibly blessed people in the world surrounded by love and support,” she captioned an Instagram post in July 2019 after sharing her experience, adding that she hoped to help other families “feel less alone” by coming forward with her story. “None of us are alone in this. I was petrified to share my story publicly but I never, ever let fear dictate my life choices. I will always take the leap, I will always roll the dice.”
At the time, McCain also gave a heartfelt shout-out to her husband. “And to this man who loves my wild heart, has never tried to change a single thing about me, and continues to be the greatest source of strength, love and faith a woman could ever ask for ~ I thank God for sending you to me every day, Ben,” she wrote.

Meghan’s father, the late John McCain, wasn’t able to see her become a parent, but his memory lives on in her growing family. During a 2022 episode of the “Me Becoming Mom” podcast, Meghan opened up about how Liberty — who was born two years after John’s 2018 death — has reminded her of the politician.
“[Liberty] does this thing with her hands, and [my dad] used to do that all the time. I don’t do it. I don’t know where it comes from, but she does it even now,” Meghan said at the time. “I told my mother-in-law it creeps me out when she does it because it’s this tic my dad used to do with his hands. … But I loved my dad and I love my mother in a way that’s the way I think a lot of people love their parents, they’re the people that raised you. And with my dad in particular, he was just so much for so much of my life in so many different ways. But with my daughter, it’s just pure. She’s perfection.”
