High School National Finals Rodeo 2025: A Big Horn High School Goat Tier ended up placing in the top 20. Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The team concluded conference play yesterday with a pair of easy wins at Rock Springs. Denver Broncos Football: The start of the 2025 season is getting closer. Colorado Rockies Baseball: For the first time this season the team took 2 out of 3 at home, as the Colorado Rockies won a series at home vs. Minnesota. The team signed their top 2 picks, which are cornerback Jahdae Barron and running back RJ Harvey to 4-year rookie deals, meaning all of their draft picks from this year have been signed. The first pre-season game is Saturday, August 9th at San Francisco, and the first regular season game is on Sunday, September 7th at home against Tennessee.
Bleu Butler was in the top 20 after 2 rounds in her event, thus she was invited back to the championship short-go on Saturday night.
When it was all said and done she ended placing 16th overall.
There were only 17 competitors who ended up going 3 for 3 without a no time, and she was one of them.
Another Wyoming Cowgirl, Hadley Thompson out of Yoder, ended up winning the Goat Tying competition and she also won the cowgirl all-around title.
Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers concluded conference play yesterday with a pair of easy wins at Rock Springs.
Scores were 13-3 and 15-1 in mercy rule shortened games.
In Game 1, Avon Barney pitched a complete game 5 innings, striking out 10 and gave up no earned runs, while the Troopers offense hit 8 doubles.
In Game 2, Gauge Rodgers hit a 3-run home run, and Will Greer pitched a complete game 5 innings, and struck out 10 himself.
With the win, Sheridan finishes tied for 4th with Laramie in the standings, but have the head-to-head tie-breaker.
It doesn’t matter, because the 2 teams will play each other in the first round of the AA State Tournament, which starts 1 week from today in Cheyenne.
The schedule should come out in the next few days.
Before that, Sheridan will play their home finale this coming Wednesday with a non-conference double-header against the Billings Expos, starting at 5pm.
Wyoming Legion Baseball A-League State Tournament 2025: The bracket for the A-League State Tournament is set.
For the 2nd time in 3 years, Sheridan is hosting and because of that, the Jets get an automatic spot in the bracket.
The team will play the nightcap this coming Thursday vs. Cody at 7 o’clock.
Other first round games on Thursday have Powell vs. Torrington at 10am, Wheatland vs. Lovell at 1pm, and the Casper Drillers vs. Riverton at 4pm.
The championship game will be played one week from today.

Denver Broncos Football: The start of the 2025 season is getting closer.
Training camp for the Denver Broncos starts this coming Friday.
Last week, the team signed their top 2 picks, which are cornerback Jahdae Barron and running back RJ Harvey to 4-year rookie deals, meaning all of their draft picks from this year have been signed.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: For the first time this season the Colorado Rockies won a series at home, as the team took 2 out of 3 vs. Minnesota.
The Rocks won on Friday 6-4 as a 2-run home run by Ryan McMahon and a solo shot by Jordan Beck made the difference.
The team also won on Saturday 10-6 as McMahon and Hunter Goodman each hit 2-run homers and Ezequiel Tovar provided a 3-run blast for good measure.
Colorado was unable to complete the sweep yesterday, losing 7-1.
Mickey Moniak provided the 1, by going yard on his own.
The Rockies start a 3-game home series today vs. St. Louis.
First is scheduled for 6:40pm.
